Toasted Sesame Seeds

깨소금: Kkae So gum

Most sesame seeds found in UK supermarkets are not toasted but don't worry! It's easy to do.

Cooking Time: 10 min or less

You can toast sesame seeds in 2 ways:

1. Frying pan: Heat on medium and pour sesame seeds on without oil. Occasionally stir every few minutes. The seeds will start to get glossy and clump together a bit.

2. Oven: Spread thinly across a baking sheet and heat oven to 180 degrees.

Keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn. When its ready, the room will become fragrant and the sesame seeds will start turning a light brown/golden colour.

Turn off the heat and leave to cool before transferring to a jar.
