Quick and easy sauce that you can add to ANYthing and EVERYthing to make it à la Coréen. Literally the Korean name (man neung yang nyeom) translates into 'Seasoning with 10,000 possibilities'.
Some examples of how to use it:
- Scooped onto silken tofu or pan fried tofu
- Steamed rice topped w/fried egg
- On any veg steamed or stir fried
- On cold noodles w/crushed nori (gim) and a boiled egg
- Meats
- As a dipping sauce
- On warm noodle soups (Sujebi, Kalguksu)
Recipe for 1 serving (Multiply to scale up):
Soy Sauce: 1 Tbsp
Sesame Oil: 1 tsp
Sesame Seeds: 1 tsp
Garlic: 1 tsp minced (1 clove)
Spring Onion: 1 Tbsp chopped (1 sprig)
Gochugaru/Red Pepper Flakes: 1/4 tsp (optional)
Give a quick mix. Taste. Tweak if desired. Add to anything and everything!
MyMommyKim Tip: Just make enough for one sitting as whilst it does keep in the fridge for a few days, it really does taste best fresh.
Your welcome :)
